Breakfast at home with Patrick: Patrick prepared: pumpkin spice muffins; autumn yogurt parfait with pears, toasted pumpkin seeds and pecans, dried cranberries, and maple-cinnamon apple butter; hot Nespresso pumpkin spice cake coffee with milk. Cleaned a glass candle holder of old wax with Goof Off and a paper towel after Patrick had drained it using a pot of hot water. Patrick and I continued the sliding glass door baseboard trim renewal project. We applied Liquid Nails and pressed the baseboard trim into place. I had purchased finishing nails thinking that I could hammer them in, but they were useless because they did not penetrate even the trim. We went with Liquid Nails alone. I had only two small C clamps, and in the few other spots where it did not adhere well we used green FrogTape painter's tape and 20-pound dumbbells. We walked and rode Muni to lunch at RT Rotisserie Hayes Valley with JY and Adrian. We talked about architecture tours, improv classes, Mahjong classes, bridge classes, elder care, family, Patrick's childhood and family and mom. Afterwards they departed. Patrick and I walked to Loquat and purchased a few pastries to consume later. Walked and rode Muni home. Later Patrick and I walked to Copper to meet a subset of The Syndicate for drinks in the parklet: Jose, Tim C, John B, Emery, Timmy D, Scot B, JY, Adrian, Rayson, and someone else with Rayson whose name I don't recall. We shared crispy brussels sprouts, tater tots, fries. The sun was directly in the eyes of people facing west, so I held a menu to block it for whoever was across from me. Patrick and I walked to dinner at Takara Sushi: hot green tea, miso soup, red dragon roll, rock n roll, spider roll. $57.57 after 8.625% tax and before a $12 tip. Patrick and I walked home. We watched YouTube a short while. Patrick went to bed. I processed dirty dishes, cleaned the kitchen, and started the dishwasher.
