Breakfast: red grapes, hot water. Met Felipe from Daly City Iron Works to see if they could repair bubbling and rusting metalwork. He arrived a few minutes after our scheduled appointment. After a few minutes he said that they cannot do any of the work we need. I apologized for wasting his time and let him go. Afterwards I chatted with neighbor Daniela about his visit since her unit was scheduled to have an estimate from him as well. Later for lunch Patrick and I walked to Cliff's Variety to purchase painting supplies for Patrick then continued to Morning Due, meeting Kerry and Mom Ryan along the way. Kerry and Mom shared a grilled chicken sandwich with fries, Patrick and I shared a fried chicken sandwich with fries and an iced chai. Almond oat milk for Mom, a beer for Kerry. We walked with them to the corner then said goodbye. Walked home, stopping at Oishii Matcha for an iced black sesame latte to share. I continued the project to renew the baseboard trim: sanded wood putty areas, cleaned the work area, painted the baseboard trim. Dinner at home with Patrick: pistachio cream fusilli bowls from frozen, water. I missed a few spots with the baseboard trim painting, so I painted again then cleaned the work area. Replaced the battery in a UPS and prepared to put the UPS back in service. We watched 47 minutes of Bird Box: Barcelona on Netflix with small glasses of port then all of Ryan Hamilton: Happy Face (2017) also on Netflix. Patrick went to bed. I processed dirty dishes and cleaned the kitchen. Completed a lot of online paperwork: a home buyer class action settlement claim, two iPhone class action settlement claims. Our new Oupes Exodus 350 backup power supply arrived but the solar panel I bought with it did not. I had to email Oupes to find out the tracking number for the separate shipment. Why couldn't they have included that info in one of the many messages they sent after I placed my order? Late snack: 3 of Patrick's homemade croutons, one Laoban bbq pork bao bun, water.
