Walked to breakfast at Orphan Andy's with Sam and Patrick: Sam and Patrick each had The Big 2 with pancakes. I had a breakfast bagel with a side of home fries. Decaf coffee for Sam, regular coffee for Patrick and me. While we were there something exciting happened, but I can't say what. Afterwards we walked home. Sam and Patrick left in Sam's car to shop for groceries. I cleaned soffit vent covers above the outside of the garage door. I used the Husqvarna 350iB leaf blower for the last time. After using it the battery appears to have died and failed to charge. I purchased this five months ago and used it about once a month. I spent several hours trying to determine how to file a warranty claim, but the task proved so difficult that I decided I'm just going to give up and call my $400 purchase a loss. I'll never buy anything from Husqvarna again, and I certainly won't visit the city of the same name. At least now I know to not buy gardening equipment from a 337-year-old company that originally created rifles. Continued repairing scraped door edges and door jambs with wood putty. Foot care. Wasn't hungry enough for a full lunch, but midafternoon Patrick made banana shakes and I partook. Later, dinner at home with Patrick: Patrick prepared caprese sandwiches with potato chips. Hot water to drink. Afterwards we watched Steel Magnolias (1989), which neither of us had seen. Patrick made us limoncello cocktails. After the film, we watched a little of YouTube, then Patrick went to bed. I cleaned the kitchen, deep-cleaned the range hood, and started the dishwasher. Late snack: salted pistachios, dried bing cherries, roasted and salted cashews.
