Medium bowl of oatmeal with milk, flax meal, blueberries; water to drink. Rode Muni to UCSF Parnassus. Chatted again with Kevin S. This time I learned the story of how he and Daniel obtained their home by way of a serendipitous connection with the seller as well as a podcast series of Joseph Hansen gay detective stories as mentioned on NPR. After being at work a short while, I visited the Experience Parnassus exhibit in the Faculty/Alumni House, meeting Abby, Brad, and Christine. I wore virtual reality goggles of different types to experience the new building in a variety of ways. I observed the many exhibits which explained the process, the history, the community involvement, and more. Back to the office. Prepped a person page task for possible crosstraining to Anne. Completed an effort estimate survey for Eric. Followup with Alfonz and Lisa about DKIM config for the HIVE newsletter. Lunch at Fresca: chicken salad, water. Delicious! I forced myself to eat as much of the large serving as I could since I knew it wouldn't be good as a dish saved for later. Asana task followup. Met with Raj to review the listserv event delivery issue. Followup with a grad programs data pull issue: a change from http to https. Followup with Alfonz and Anne about people pages work. Rode Muni home. Dinner at home with Patrick: bulgur salad with lemon, chickpeas, and vegetables; water; red wine. Afterwards we watched various trailers and YouTube videos and then Taylor Tomlinson: Look at You. Patrick could not stop laughing, and I was not far behind. Patrick went to bed. I continued trying to see if I could resolve my D7 git repo woes on the new laptop. Failed. I washed dishes then read and provided notes on an unpolished draft of the first story of Patrick's new short story collection which is about two students taking a trip to Galatoire's. It's a fine story, even in this unfinished form, and it was a pleasure to read.
