Breakfast at home: Patrick prepared for me applewood-smoked ham with cheddar and egg on whole wheat english muffin. Rode Muni to UCSF Parnassus. UCSF shuttle from Parnassus to Laurel Heights. Restored local dev for Calpoison. Met with Susie about Calpoison, made a few homepage styling changes. Continued setting up the new MacBook Pro. UCSF shuttle from Laurel Heights to Mount Zion. Stopped at Spice Ace to chat about ranch on popcorn. Lunch at Roam: french and fries beef burger, mighty leaf iced tea: $15.84 before a $1 counter service tip. UCSF shuttle from Mount Zion to Laurel Heights. More computer setup. Rode Lyft Line home. Dinner at King of Thai Noodle by myself: won ton soup with egg noodles, hot tea. Set up a new portable external hard drive that acts as an NAS device, configured backups. Had a hard time finding an application that would play MIDI files on my iMac until I installed timidity via Homebrew. VLC didn't work. QuickTime didn't work. GarageBand was supposed to work, but I couldn't figure out how. In timidity, the MIDI files seemed to play slightly faster than normal or otherwise a bit weirdly, but at least I could hear them. Late dessert: Patrick's bread pudding and bourbon hard sauce, J Vineyards ratafia.
