Breakfast at home: a nectarine. Rode Muni to UCSF Parnassus. Chatted briefly with John K outside Kalmanovitz Library, almost missed the UCSF shuttle from Parnassus to Laurel Heights. Sprint standup. Made live a second page on it.ucsf.edu: Device Encryption. More it.ucsf.edu content followup with Reba. Microsites: pkcourse and Burchard in Spanish followup. Inquired with Pat P about whether his team had made an announcement about Mail Drop, which is not safe for legally protected data at UCSF. Followup with Sara: Qualtrics mail triggers. Accepted an invitation from DJF to join an advisory committee for it.ucsf.edu. Jazzee work: prereqs pdf, sogi export. No lunch. Rode Lyft from UCSF Laurel Heights to the Castro: $9.98 after a $1 tip and a $5 credit. Met Patrick at Cafe Flore. Dinner at Slider Bar (2295 Market Street) with Patrick: Patrick had a red sangria and a two-slider combo: mighty meatball and soprano. I had a mango margarita and a two-slider combo: big kahuna, carolina babe. $48.80 after a $6 tip. Service by Lee Ann was fine. While eating we saw Scot B on the sidewalk walking with a large group. We guessed that an Apple bus had stopped nearby. Afterwards on the sidewalk we encountered and said hello to Paul M who was on his way to Hi Tops. At PIE we had chocolate peanut butter pie slice. Then we attended Matt Alber at Swedish American Hall with special guest Armistead Maupin. Bryce Alber opened the show. His music is moody and ethereal, perfect, I think, for a modern, gritty, noirish film soundtrack. Mr. Maupin read from his forthcoming memoirs, telling an amusing story of an encounter in the park. Patrick and I Rode Lyft from the Castro to home: $8.94 after a $1 tip and a $5 credit.
