Breakfast at home with Patrick: Patrick prepared sausage hash brown casserole, toast with salted butter, sliced asian pear, Nespresso, water. I processed dirty dishes, cleaned the kitchen, and started the dishwasher. Network DNS security review following DNS security changes on August 12 and 15. Midmorning Sam came over, and he and Patrick and me drove to San Francisco's hazardous and electronic waste facility to drop off items. Afterwards we shopped at hardware stores: SF International Building Supply, East Star Building Supply, and Discount Builders. I bought a water hammer arrester. We bought Sam a toilet valve to help him resolve ongoing problems that his building management failed to adequately resolve. Drove home. We walked to a late lunch at Super Duper Burgers: Sam had a mini burger no cheese well done with grilled onions and fries with soda, Patrick had a mini burger with cheddar and grilled onions and fries with a chocolate shake. I wasn't hungry and had only a few bites of Patrick's burger and fries. Afterwards they left to run errands. I stopped at Entour which had recently announced a permanent closure. I bought a pair of Entour tropical paradise shorts. Everything is 40% off. We three met at home. Patrick sang and Sam played the electric keyboard of original music they created while I did other things. Later Sam departed. I walked and rode Muni to the 5:00 p.m. Mr. S Leather customer appreciation party: "Come out to the store for a night of community fun! Free drinks, free tunes, and free clothes check every third Friday of the month. [ 21+ ID REQ ]". I shopped for something I wanted but they didn't have the item I sought. I saw a lot of things I hadn't seen before. The event included an impressive spread of cold party bites (including crackers, pita chips, various dips, grapes, bagged chips, and more) and cold sodas, hard seltzers, and wine. A DJ spun tunes. The event was entirely indoors. I met Phillip who claimed to have been banned by a popular usenet newsgroup in 2020, Roger with whom I talked about Richard Nixon, and Douglas with whom I talked about social events and New York. Around 7 p.m. Emery and I tired of the event at the same time. I accompanied him walking and riding Muni to the Castro so he could meet Shawn P at 440. I briefly said hello and continued to the Castro Night Market where I walked around for a while and watched the entertainment stage which included JRTopDog dancing. I happened upon Jeff C, David M, Jeff C, Brian, Afzal, and Raul. We chatted awhile before they continued on their way to dinner. I stayed a while longer then walked home. Dinner: leftover hash brown casserole, water. Unloaded the dishwasher.
