Patrick walked me through using our new Nespresso machine to make coffee for me. Breakfast: halves of two Philz Coffee pastries, previously frozen, via Too Good To Go, heated; one sliced honeycrisp apple; coffee with milk and simple syrup; hot water. All the times I have tried Nespresso in the past I have not liked it at all. This one—melozio decaf—was just okay. Adding simple syrup did not help much. Touch-up painting of one spot by the Aiphone in the south bedroom. Physical therapy exercises to treat a minor back issue. Lunch: I ate the reminder of Patrick's leftovers from last night's dinner and prepared yakisoba from frozen with cabbage, grated carrot, and sliced yellow bell pepper. Hot water to drink. Continued the bannister touch-up painting project. Shower. Patrick and I walked to Full Proof for a wine tasting and bought from Brad Tip Top canned cocktails which we had tasted last week and a bottle of wine that we tasted tonight. We walked to dinner at Fable: Table 43, service by Dylan was very good. We shared: citrus salad, steak frites medium rare, two amalfi spritzes, water. $93.76 after tax before tip. Walked home, encountering Paul on his way to buy octopus at Billingsgate Seafood Market and Cafe. Patrick and I rewatched There's Something About Mary (1998) on Netflix. Patrick went to bed. Continued editing a batch of Mom Ryan's photos that Patrick had brought home and which I had scanned. Went to Beaux late. I enjoyed the music but did not stay long. Afterwards I walked to other bars in the Castro, and they were mostly empty. Walked home. To bed very late.
