Unloaded the dishwasher. Breakfast: TJ's maple-peach granola with blueberries and milk, hot water. Uploaded photos to Flickr and Instagram. Physical therapy exercises to treat a minor back issue. Housecleaning prep before a dinner party. Vacuumed the upper level and the balcony. Encountered a problem with the Miele Capri vacuum: the hose didn't attach to the bag properly and dirt and debris got all over the inside. I resolved it using the handheld vacuum. Swept the outer stairwell with the leaf blower then manually swept at the bottom and in front of the home and in the street. While sweeping I encountered neighbor Fabrizio and met husband Alan, and we chatted a while and exchanged phone numbers. Shower then short nap. Patrick prepared a Moroccan dinner at home with Tai, Drew, Phil: chicken braised with apricot and harissa, steamed couscous, shirazi tomato and cucumber salad, sesame flatbreads, garlic and herb labne dip. Dessert: Moroccan mint tisane and preserved Meyer lemon and labne cake. We drank Kylie and a 2017 Justin cabernet sauvignon. Patrick went to bed. I processed dirty dishes, cleaned the kitchen, and started the dishwasher.
