Breakfast at home: two breakfast soft tacos with scrambled egg, lettuce, leftover sloppy joe meat previously frozen, sour cream, colby jack cheese, green onions; hot water. Physical therapy exercises to treat a minor back issue. Lunch: leftover basmati rice with stir-fried vegetables (fire-roasted corn from frozen, green beans from frozen, sliced tomatoes, fire-roasted red peppers from a jar), tomato paste, salt, pepper. Walked and rode Muni to SFMOMA: Free Community Day 2026. I arrived in line and learned that free Matisse exhibit tickets for today were sold out, but before I reached the start of the line a woman outside the line handed me a free ticket saying she had an extra. I thanked her and was grateful for the gift. The ticket was timed-entry, and I had only 30 minutes to wait, so I visited the free parts, including Fortuna and the Immortality Garden (Machine) by Kara E-Walker, then Arborhythm by Yuri Suzuki, then Family Studio with SCRAP: Collection-edition!, then Drag Performances by the House of MORE!, then New Work by Sheila Hicks. In Matisse's Femme au chapeau: A Modern Scandal, they painstakingly simulated Gallery VII from a 1905 exhibition in Paris, and I especially appreciated the window opening looking back to Femme au chapeau, which mirrored a previous exhibition. Afterwards, I visited Reimagined: The Fisher Collection at 10, Claes Oldenburg + Coosje van Bruggen: Thinking Big, the plant wall and sculptures. Walked and rode Muni home. Dinner at home with Patrick: BBQ baked cheese burgers and waffle fries, hot water. We watched YouTube then The Late Show with Stephen Colbert May 19, 2026 on YouTube. Break: I cleaned the kitchen and loaded the dishwasher. Patrick prepared Martha Stewart's Movie-Theater-Style Popcorn. We watched Starfleet Academy s1:e10 (season finale) on Paramount+. Patrick went to bed. I processed dirty dishes, cleaned the kitchen, and started the dishwasher.
