Breakfast: I prepared a variation on Martha Stewart's corned beef egg cups. Side of blueberries with local honey and toasted and slivered almonds. Hot water. Recoated both mailbox numbers with matte clear Rustoleum clear coat. Mailbox numbers replacement project is complete. Attempted to remove a screw with a broken head for a perforated sidewalk drainage grate aka air vent cover using a screw extractor, failed. Sam picked up Patrick and me, then we drove to Daly City for lunch at Nick the Greek: chicken bowls for Sam and Patrick, steak gyro, Zagori Greek sparkling water for Patrick, and Greek sour cherry drink for me. Afterwards we shopped at Home Depot, acquiring a four-foot-tall dracaena cane plant and a few other items. We stopped for beverages at a nearby Philz Coffee. Sam drove us home. We encountered troublesome traffic at different points along the way including a stopped vehicle on I-280 and the remains of a collision at Clipper Street and Portola Drive. Later we weren't hungry enough for dinner. Patrick ate a slice of toast and I ate nothing. We watched The Studio s1:e7 on Apple TV and YouTube. Patrick went to bed. I processed dirty dishes, cleaned the kitchen, then started the dishwasher. Archived documents. Gathered tax filing paperwork.
