Pre-breakfast: half banana. Breakfast: I prepared a veggie fritatta with eggs, celery, carrot, baby corn, tomato, green onion. I ate a piece of it with the last of this batch's leftover hash brown casserole. The hash brown casserole recipe I used was Stacey Lastoe's on Southern Cooking's website. The quantity of butter in the recipe—1.5 sticks or 3/4 cup—made me feel almost sick to my stomach with each piece I ate. If I do this recipe again, I'll probably try it with only 1/4 cup, or half of one stick, of butter. Otherwise it's delicious. Continued the mailbox numbers replacement project and the door numbers restoration project. Door numbers got another coat of matte clear, and I'm considering them done. Mailbox numbers got sprayed with matte clear on the back, and later after it was dry, I realized my mistake: the fronts of the numbers stuck to the advertisement newsprint that I used underneath it, ruining the fronts. I resanded the fronts and resprayed with two coats, this time putting a white waxy paperboard from a used and washed takeout container underneath instead of newsprint. Swept the patio of plant and tree debris. Washed windows: both sides of the windowed door from the office to the patio, the outside of the primary bathroom window. Swept the exterior stairwell from our upper level down. Nap. In the evening Patrick and I walked and rode Muni to dinner at Flour + Water Pizzeria: we shared: beets and citrus appetizer (with stracciatella and pistachio), The Conrad pizza (taleggio, mozz, mushrooms, kale, red onion, roasted garlic). Melone cocktail for Patrick, spritz for me. There was a long delay between the appetizer and the pizza. Service by Joyce B was otherwise good. Afterwards we walked to Club Fugazi for Dear San Francisco, a performance of circus acts in the spirit of San Francisco. We hadn't been back to this space since the last week of Beach Blanket Babylon. The performance was well-executed and a lot of fun with great energy and heart. I can't remember saying "wow!" this many times in 90 minutes. We shared drinks and a $10 bowl of popcorn which we will probably never do again since the bowl was very small—about two big handfuls—and definitely not worth the price. But the show is terrific and highly recommended. Rode Uber home.
