Breakfast: leftover hash brown casserole, one turkey sausage link, two soft-scrambled eggs with diced tomato, hot water. Midmorning Patrick and I walked and rode Muni to browse the nice things at Ken Fulk Gallery. Afterwards we walked and rode Muni to Stonestown Galleria where we purchased wedding rings. Lunch at Kura Sushi: 10 plates, hot green tea. Walked and rode Muni home. Patrick napped. I began the mailbox numbers replacement project and continued the door numbers restoration project. A while ago I purchased one-inch-tall metal numbers on Etsy to replace the vinyl numbers on our mailbox flaps which had worn off almost completely. I sanded the mailbox numbers with 100- then 400-grit sandpaper. The door numbers restoration project began some months ago; I had sanded our two door numbers (upper and lower) with 100-grit sandpaper. I resanded the door numbers today with 400-grit sandpaper. Carefully wiped mailbox numbers and door numbers clean. Spraypainted the mailbox numbers with Rustoleum Painter's Touch 2X Ultracover Matte Clear, two coats. I used the same spray to manually paint the door numbers with a light coat using a thin artist's paintbrush. While waiting for the coats to dry I turned over our wet door mats to let the water drain, and I swept in front of the home and in the entry. I gave the mailbox numbers a second coat. I left the door numbers with only one coat. In the evening Patrick and I walked to The Academy for dinner and Brock and Spencer. Dinner in the Speakeasy with cocktails: sausage and mushroom flatbread, chicken bites with bronco sauce and vegetable sticks. We chatted with Tommy. Afterwards we switched to the east wing room for another round of cocktails and the evening's entertainment, singer Jason Brock with Dee Spencer on piano. Tired, we left at the break and walked home.
