Coffee. Further amputagged new t-shirts from Asos. I had initially thought I needed to hem them shorter, but they seem to have shrunken sufficiently shorter after the first wash, which saves me about six hours of work. Discovered that some water had entered our apartment overnight, took steps to resolve the problem: absorbing water with old towels, pointing a small space heater to the lifted rug. Applied labels to our trash bins so that they have our street address and so that it's clear which are for the upstairs and downstairs units. The labels are custom bumper stickers from Zazzle and were pricey (about $100 for 24) but I wanted a solution that I thought would last a long time. I bought more than I needed immediately so that I wouldn't have to think about it later when they needed replacing and for the long-term cost savings. Laser or inkjet ink would not have withstood being outside for perhaps more than a few months, probably even with UV-protection lamination. This $100 should provide us with trash labeling for at least the next 12 years, if we're here that long. Brunch: peanut butter granola with unsweetened soy milk, water. Cut my hair, showered. Watched some LiveType demos and tutorials on YouTube. Affixed a power strip to the wall in my bedroom using two screws. Wanted to finish a project in the garage but realized my drill was at work. Organized stuff. Attempted to implement a temporary fix for the water entry problem but the area was too wet and dirty for anything to stick to it. Ed came over to examine the water entry problem then left. Dinner at home with Patrick: leek and cauliflower soup (aka blender soup). Dessert: sufganiyot with Firelit on the rocks. I spent part of today learning LiveType but decided to just use titles in iMovie. I had successfully imported into LiveType the movie with voiceover I had built in iTunes, but LiveType doesn't bring the audio with it. Without being able to hear the voiceover, it was very difficult for me to find a workflow that worked with LiveType. Finished watching The Producers (2005) on Netflix DVD with Patrick.
