Breakfast at home: clementines. Rode Muni to UCSF Parnassus. Calendar management. Sprint standup. Observed an exam taking place using ExamSoft SofTest in HSW302 and HSW303. Submitted a job posting for Justin L. Followup on various issues: BigFix with Michael K, phone problem with Mike R. Student ED picked up a repaired laptop. Reviewed some accounts that might need to close and identified one that was unused and submitted a request to ITS to close it. UCSF shuttle from Parnassus to Laurel Heights. Posted a job posting on BTS for Peter L. Microsites work: followup on SMDC stall. Missed connecting with Lawrence L who has a new domain ready for CERSI. Calendar management. Spent a lot of time successfully removing the Chrome extension (plug-in) called Webpage Screenshot (id = ckibcdccnfeookdmbahgiakhnjcddpki) from my Time Machine backups because it included spyware (Adware.Jolleywallet). To do so I had to: (1) take a photo of the path to the extension, (2) in Terminal execute chflags nohidden ~/Library/ so that my Library folder was viewable after entering Time Machine, (3) enter Time Machine, (4) navigate to the parent folder of the ckibcdccnfeookdmbahgiakhnjcddpki folder, (5) right-click the ckibcdccnfeookdmbahgiakhnjcddpki folder, (6) select the item that said something like Delete All Occurrences. There were some suggestions that restarting Finder would permit you to delete the folder directly, but it’s less safe that way, and in my case it did not work due to error “The operation can’t be completed because backup items can’t be modified.” Ran a full scan afterwards. Continued setting up my Lanyrd account, tracking Jon J and Nica L and adding conferences I have attended. Sent Paula a social media conference suggestion. Installed Snapchat, Yik Yak, and Periscope on my iPhone 6 Plus. UCSF shuttle from Laurel Heights to Parnassus. Rode Muni home. Dinner at home with Patrick: delivery from SpoonRocket, which had given me a $10 credit in appreciation for my loyalty: korean mixed plate ($9.50) for me. Chicken tikka masala with aloo gobi masala and pulao style rice ($8.95) for Patrick. Dessert: we shared a pumpkin cheesecake ($3.95). Delivery this time took about 45 minutes—disappointing.
