Started using the new computer regularly now after having gotten lots and lots of pesky settings migrated. Ran in to Firefox bug 246078 with Firefox 0.9.2 and used the fix provided by johnhaller.com—it worked perfectly. Completed Microsoft paperwork for distributing Windows Media Player. School Plan subsite work for Susie. Privacy subsite work for Cindy. Renewed SSL certificates for our student directory domains. Recreated my work briefcase on my USB key. Panda Express for lunch. School plan edits for Susie: put in the image she purchased yesterday. Home. Replied to a lot of thank you messages for Sunday's party. Sent a thank you note to Geoff Kimmons, an IT manager at Canterbury Christ Church University College in England who sent me a thank you note saying that my journal (March 2004) was helpful in resolving the Win 2000 to Win XP upgrade problem with Sophos Anti-Virus and Sophos Admin. This is not my correct zip code, and I abandoned my shopping cart because I could not resolve this problem. My mail frequently gets delivered to Mission Bay instead of Parnassus because of problems like these. No one cares whether the words 'ZIP Code' are trademarked, but they do care when auto-correcting computer systems choose the wrong thing which results in mail being delivered to the wrong place."
