Afterwards we began a game of Scrabble. Patrick's aunt Lucille died today from COVID-19. She was 93. His mom and Lucille were very close, and of all his aunts Patrick said Lucille was his closest. Patrick recently began a subscription to the dead tree edition of The New Yorker. He received his first issue today.

After I woke a while later I made backups for two home websites and listened to the many illegal fourth of July fireworks including people having a fireworks party on the street in front of our house. I feared an accidental fire, especially since I neglected to remove a lot of dry leaves in the back yard before tonight, but I did not report them. Most unnerving are the loud, bomb-like explosions. I could hear them from our back window just as clearly as if it were in our back yard.

I connected with Apple Support Chat but eventually on the call I found the answer on my own in the iTunes User Guide: "To see purchases you’ve hidden, choose Account then View My Account, sign in, then click Manage to the right of Hidden Purchases (below iTunes in the Cloud). To make a hidden item visible again, click the item’s Unhide button." It's not intuitive to find hidden purchases under something called "View My Account." I don't even know how they got hidden. I have no reason to hide them, and I know Patrick had no reason to, either. So strange.

Spent a long time trying and failing to remove epoxy (repair putty) from my hands with Goo Gone, Goof Off, and mineral spirits (of these three mineral spirits worked the best) until I learned from YouTube that vinegar does the trick with a lot of rubbing. Dinner at home with Patrick: burgers from Calibur. We had thought we had made an order in the past in which the burgers came with fries but we realized that they really didn't. Watched Rocketman on Netflix DVD with Patrick and buttered popcorn. Patrick added brewer's yeast to his. Continued repairs to the bathroom tub, this time with caulk. Today Patrick baked three layers of German chocolate cake solely to be frozen and later diced to be dropped into a homemade ice cream.

For each song one would give an error like "file not found" and the other would play.
