Usual oatmeal breakfast. Met with Cesar to resolve static IP address problem—all fixed now. I forgot to also change the gateway IP address—silly me. Realized that when you have the old Apple Keyboard that has function keys numbered F1 through F16 OS 10.5.6 does not let you assign F14, F15, or F16 to Expose features. Grrr. You can with the newer keyboard. I have the newer keyboard at home and the older keyboard at work, so I cannot set my keyboard shortcuts consistently even though both keyboards have F14, F15, and F16. Web updates for Susie: faculty page. Sak Y stopped by to troubleshoot the laser printer. He unjammed the paper tray and I showed him the mysterious black plastic part that had fallen out of the printer. The part has something to do with the out-of-paper detection. So our printer works now but if it runs out of paper we won't be warned. Sak will try to order a replacement part. More styling of the new BTS website: homepage news, secondary page header, added and conformed to a grid that Susie wanted. Met with a student who had questions about a Palm Tungsten E2. Lunch at desk: leftovers. Assorted web edits for Cindy. Calendar coding and PDF production for Cindy. Began revising the privacy section regarding patient medical records and AB 211 and SB 541. Dinner at home with Patrick: grilled pork chops, mashed new potatoes with parsley and lemon-and-chive vinegar-free dressing, corn off the cob, sourdough roll, Smart Balance Light. Dessert for me: one XOX Truffle. Watched Reservoir Dogs (1992) on Netflix DVD with Patrick. We had never seen this before. It's more gore and violence than I prefer in a film, but we both enjoyed it nonetheless. What an amazing early Tarantino work.
