Breakfast: plain greek yogurt with blueberries, toasted and shaved coconut, mint chiffonade; hot water. Web work: more DNS config. Recharge Medical work all day: a lot of mailing list subscriber work, continued editing drafted blog posts. Lunch: black forest ham and swiss sandwich on poppy seed bread with yellow sliced tomatoes, hot water. Touch-up painted chips in the south bathtub. In the evening Patrick and I met with neighbor Dan P and together we walked to The Academy for Academy of Wine: Spanish Food and Wine Pairing with Canela Bistro and Wine Bar. At the entrance we encountered NR whom we hadn't seen in many years. On the patio the four of us sat at a table near the west wall under a heat lamp. A self-service water station was nearby. Wine Director Michael Wells hosted, Patrick whose last name I cannot recall was the sommelier, and Chef Mat Schuster from Canela was the chef. There were five wines in the evening's tasting: 1. 2025 Bidaia Txakolina Blanco Getariako, 2. 2024 Máximo Abete Casalasierra Rosada Navarra, 3. 2024 Pago Ayles Cuesta Del Herrero Tempranillo/Garnacha Aragón, 4. 2023 Fané Ventura Brut Nature Cava, and 5. 2022 Ritme Celler Garnacha/Cariñena Priorat. The five-courses: 1. spanish cheeses, chorizo, and olives, 2. toasts con sobrasada, 3. mixed mushroom and artichoke paella, 4. shrimp and scallop paella, 5. churros con chocolate.
