His new manuscript, Fancy Gumbo, his second collection of short stories, was short-listed and named second runner-up in this year's prestigious Faulkner-Wisdom Award. He participates in the Faulkner for All Festival today through the weekend, returning on Monday. He participates in one panel. All morning: Mailgun Email Camp via Goldcast: Omnichannel Smackdown. Published a news story for Suzan, then immediately discovered and soon resolved a problem with it. Reviewed a proposed web maintenance plan for Katherine. Lunch at home: leftovers from Lazy Susan, lemonade. Followup with Microsoft about the missing images problem. They have no more details to share. Hopefully the problem will not return. Siteimprove linkchecking, spellchecking, and policy work. Filed pcard paperwork. Populated a new student listserv. Met with Sharon and our team about the DEI web page. Followup with an IT request to reset credentials and change owner of a resource email account. Other seed award followup: small changes. Dinner at home by myself: medium butter leaf lettuce salad with heirloom tomato, cucumber, toasted sliced almonds, feta, maui onion ranch dressing; one slice of sourdough toast with peanut butter; hot water.
