Medium bowl of oatmeal with milk, flax meal, cacao nibs, toasted slivered almonds, toasted shaved coconut, blueberries; hot water. Repotted the orchid again in order to make the stems with flowers a bit less droopy and more vertical. Cleaned in the bathroom. Cut my hair, showered. Lunch: leftover Morrocan lentil and chickpea harira, water. Walked to the library to return a DVD (The Fugitive). While returning I stopped at Kentucky Fried Chicken / Taco Bell for a medium strawberries and cream slushie—delicious. Dinner at home with Patrick: Patrick had a hummus, lettuce, and tomato sandwich using homemade hummus he made earlier today. I had leftover brown rice and garlic chicken from Xiao Loong. We shared leftover dumplings from Xiao Loong with soy sauce. Water to drink. Afterwards we watched Extrapolations s1:e4 on Apple TV+ then episode 1 of Michelle Wolf: It's Great to Be Here on Netflix. Michelle Wolf is very funny. While watching we shared a Twisted cake donut (white frosting with rainbow sprinkles), previously frozen. Patrick went to bed. I installed tvOS 17 on our Apple TV that Chris and Nate gave us long ago. (It still works!) I completed a long survey from Apple about the HomePod we bought a while ago. I set up a slideshow of photos of Mom on my iPad Air. The hardest part was getting them from my work MacBook Pro to the Photos app on the iPad Air. Airdrop would only put them in Files or Documents and not the Photos app. I tried putting them in Files and then adding them to the Photos app, but that seemed impossible—no obvious way to do it. I then tried connecting the iPad Air to my work MacBook Pro with a USB-C cable but they wouldn't transfer that way, either, because my iPad Air was synching with my account on Patrick's computer, and I didn't want to change that. I connected the iPad Air to Patrick's computer, logged in as me, then copied the photos from my work MacBook Pro to my account on Patrick's MacBook Pro, then imported them into Photos on the Mac, then plugged in the iPad Air, then synched, and then it worked. I tested the slideshow and everything seemed fine except one photo wouldn't display properly. I decided it just needed to have a better crop, but Photos would not let me edit it I guess since it was synced, so I edited it on Patrick's MacBook Pro then resynced and then it was fine. Late snack: celery with peanut butter.
