Medium bowl of oatmeal with milk, flax meal, cacao nibs, toasted slivered almonds, toasted shaved coconut, half diced peach; hot water. Worked from home. Siteimprove linkchecking and policy work. Project work all day: entrepreneurship, Kroetz farewell reception html email invitation. Midmorning snack: toasted everything bagel with whipped cream cheese, water. Lunch: large salad with fixins and blue cheese dressing, water. Dinner at home with Patrick: fried chicken sandwich with romesco. We watched Ted Lasso s3:e12 (season finale) on Apple TV+ with butter microwave popcorn and orange-vanilla sparkling water then the end of Baby J: A Wide-ranging Conversation (which I had been rewatching in pieces lately) and the remainder of Tom Papa: What a Day!, both on Netflix instant watch. Patrick went to bed. I washed more dishes. Tried to resolve my problem of OneDrive not starting upon Mac restart even when the app is included in the login items in System Preferences Users & Groups. After a bad attempt in which I put "/usr/bin/open -gj /Applications/OneDrive.App/Contents/MacOS/OneDrive" in my .zshrc file (don't do this!), I found and edited ~/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.OneDrive.plist to change OpenAtLogin from 0 to 1 using the Property List Editor by opening the file in Xcode. I restarted, and OneDrive still failed to start automatically. I realized then I needed to force a reload of the plist because it is cached, so I ran defaults read ~/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.OneDrive.plist then restarted, and OneDrive still failed to start automatically. I started OneDrive manually then clicked the menu bar icon then clicked the gear icon to open the gear menu then selected Preferences. Open at Login was checked. I unchecked it then checked it then unchecked it then checked it, all while opening and closing ~/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.OneDrive.plist to confirm that this checkbox was toggling the OpenAtLogin key (setting)—it was. I restarted, and that fixed the problem—no defaults read necessary. I quit OneDrive then restarted one more time to confirm the fix, and it still works! Late snack: a small bowl of cherries. These cherries are M&R Sweet Adelines, and they are tasty, but many of them have stems that are extremely difficult to remove, especially if the stem is very short.
