Over the past few weeks I have slowly started getting back into weight training, thinking that last year's SIRVA and January's fall were healed, but the weight training has revealed that they are still not completely healed. Medium bowl of oatmeal with milk, flax meal, cacao nibs, toasted slivered almonds, toasted shredded coconut, diced half pear; hot water. Housecleaning and home improvement, including emptying the paper shredder, cleaning the large bedroom ceiling lamp shade of dead silverfish, cleaning the outside of the small bedroom window, vacuuming, and clipping loose threads from rugs. Patrick made a black forest icebox cake—his own invention. It's like tiramisu but instead of coffee and rum it's black cherry juice and Luxardo. Lunch: Patrick prepared a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese. I prepared a stir-fry with sliced carrots, cilantro, diced shrimp, diced tofu, diced yellow onion, minced garlic, dark soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ground black pepper. Patrick had a small plate of stir-fry after a bit. Water to drink. I napped. Dinner at home with Patrick: Patrick had the remainder of a sandwich from yesterday when Kerry and his mom came over for lunch. I prepared for myself shells with tomato basil sauce, the sauce from a jar, to which I added sauteed diced tomatoes and red onion. I also had a small butter leaf salad with grated carrot, diced red onion, and creamy ranch dressing. Patrick washed most of the dishes. We ate slices of the icebox cake, and it turned out to be very delicious. We watched The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel s5:e5 on Amazon Prime Video. Afterwards we watched various YouTube videos, but instead of using the YouTube app on Apple TV, we used my computer with AirPlay so that we could avoid the seemingly increasing number and length of commercials. It was easy to connect, and we watched two short videos, and no commercials appeared. The browser was Firefox, and the adblocker was uBlock Origin. I noticed today that the phalaenopsis orchid I have had for over eight years now has two spikes growing simultaneously, one at the base and one on an old spike. I believe that this is the first time this orchid has done so. A while back I stopped cutting spikes after all the flowers had fallen, and I'm not sure if that has something to do with it. It currently has three and a half older spikes. I washed more dishes. Late snack: sourdough toast with butter, water. Updates and backups for software and home devices.
