Medium bowl of oatmeal with milk, flax meal, pecans, and diced pear; water. Rode Muni bus 66 to the Inner Sunset. First day using the 15-liter Peak Design Everyday Backpack I purchased days into the start of the pandemic. First day using my Hoka Gaviota 3 shoes outdoors after breaking them in and confirming they worked well indoors for weeks. Stopped at Tartine for a ham and cheese croissant and a hot chai tea latte on my way to the Botanical Garden in Golden Gate Park where I sat on a bench and dined, saving half of the croissant for later. Rode Muni N-Judah to Montgomery Street Station. Met Phil, Drew, and Tai at Oren's for brunch. We ate outdoors. All food and drink was delicious. I had a hot mint tisane with a chicken pita with whole wheat pita. Afterwards Phil returned home to garden. Drew, Tai, and I visited SFMOMA, visiting exhibitions including Diego Rivera's Pan American Unity; Michael Jang's The Whole Story; Shifting the Silence; New Work: Wu Tsang Presents Moved by the Motion; Drawing the Line: Rael San Fratello at the U.S.-Mexico Border; Speculative Portraits; Alexander Calder: Dissonant Harmony; Contemporary Optics: Olafur Eliasson, Teresita Fernández, and Anish Kapoor. Afterwards I bought a grocery item at Target grocery then rode Muni L home. Dinner at home with Patrick: Ikarian black-eye pea stew, water. Afterwards Patrick made us mezcal margaritas which we drank while watching The French Dispatch on Netflix DVD, which we both particularly enjoyed, Patrick later calling it a perfect film, and I cannot argue with that. To bed early, cuddling.
