Ran and walked in place to various YouTube videos. Medium bowl of oatmeal with milk, flax meal, and sliced banana; water to drink. After Patrick and Sam practiced martial arts this morning, Sam stopped by to test his various electronic devices on our internet connection to compare with his connection at home. We took a break in the middle to eat king cake and drink decaf Southern pecan coffee with milk. Sam discovered a small piece of plastic in his slice, and then we realized that Baby Jesus had lost His left foot in the distribution. Sam had not swallowed it, fortunately. Be careful out there! Sam finished testing his devices and left. I took a long nap. Patrick and I skimmed and watched the last 10 minutes of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel s3:e2 on Amazon Prime Video to refresh ourselves on where we had left off. I set up the new black-and-white laser printer, a Brother HLL2370DW. All went reasonably well. I didn't find the note about the default admin password until after I had set it in its place, so it was a bit annoying to have to pull it out and snap a photo of it on the back panel in order to find it. The first test page had a worrisome-looking dark black stripe of toner along the entire left edge, but subsequent pages did not. Floor work upstairs created a chemical odor that somehow permeated throughout and into our unit, so I opened the window and turned on a fan for more ventilation even though it's cold outside. Dinner at home with Patrick: medium salad, leftover fish dumplings cooked potsticker style, water. Afterwards we watched The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel s3:e3 on Amazon Prime Video with Martha Stewart's Movie-Theater-Style Popcorn. Patrick also had a beer. Troubleshot a problem on Patrick's MacBook Pro in which attempting a video call on Facetime resulted in an error: "[name] is not available for Facetime." I think I resolved it by turning off (unchecking) the "Calls from iPhone" preference in Facetime. We did a Facetime chat with Mom Ryan for a few minutes. We finished watching Patton Oswalt: I Love Everything on Netflix instant watch. Patrick went to bed. I similarly aired the office because it too smelled of chemicals. Our air purifier set to high did not resolve the problem in the office. Airing did not help much since just outside this window it also smelled strongly of chemicals, so I closed the window and left our air purifier on its medium setting. I washed dishes.
