Installed more macOS computer updates. Medium bowl of oatmeal with milk, sliced banana; water to drink. Continued reading from Tom Ammiano's Kiss My Gay Ass borrowed from SFPL. Ironed clothes to wear this afternoon. Cleaned the iron. Weight training: leg lifts, side-lying leg lifts, prone leg curl, all while listening to podcasts: Total SF with Mc "Mack" Allen and The Anjunadeep Edition 377 with William Orbit on Apple TV. Lunch at home with Patrick: TJ's Taiwanese green onion pancakes (surprisingly authentic-tasting), water. Small meal: Uncle Sam cereal with milk. Rode UberX with Patrick to Villon at Proper Hotel where we met Chris and Andy for afternoon tea which included choice of coffee or tea, four kinds of tea sandwiches, and many kinds of sweets, a warm scone with preserves. As part of a SF firefighters program gathering toys for donation, Patrick and I each brought a toy gift to receive a complimentary glass of Prosecco. I had ordered a chai that turned out to be too spicy for me, and Chris swapped his milder tea with me. We chatted and enjoyed indulging. We popped Christmas poppers which included amusing jokes, trivia, and instructions for charades. Afterwards we attempted to visit Charmaine's, but we did not have reservations, and tonight they had limited space due to a private party. We walked in light rain to The Cavalier at Hotel Zetta only to find that the restaurant and bar was closed tonight. We then visited Executive Order at Westfield Center where we had a round of drinks and small bites—savory to counter the earlier overload of sweets: truffle tater tots (super crispy), chicken wings (more like drumsticks than wings). Rode UberX home.
