Abandoned morning run in place because my knee was hurting just a little bit. Medium bowl of oatmeal with milk, cinnamon, sliced banana; water. Sprint standup. Sent more commencement invitations to the PAA board for Cindy and Jon. Followup on various mass email threads. Calendar management. Blue Sky SOP Comms/Marketing/Web Session 2 Meeting. Prepped lunch. Installed a Toto C200 washlet. Yesterday I thought I would need to buy more parts to complete the job, but instead I simply rethought where to attach the T connector Toto provided, and it worked. I realized that we already had the needed part, probably from the previous washlet installation, and I just wasn't thinking quickly enough yesterday to understand that I could change the order in which I connected the pieces in order to make it work. 1:1 with Anne. Lunch: I prepared for myself ramen noodles stir-fried with cabbage and clamshell mushrooms and sliced green onion with hoison sauce in a chicken-flavored base. Water to drink. Ate during the Blue Sky Human Resources meeting. Dinner at home with Patrick: delivery from Hole in the Wall Pizza: caesar salad, bbq chicken pizza. Water to drink. After dinner we each had a glass of white wine. We watched about two thirds of The Italian Job (1969) on Paramount+. This film's pace feels so slow. Why do they repeat things frequently? Was it because everyone was high in the late 1960s and needed repetition so they could follow the plot? Patrick went to bed. I handled a return; a company shipped us the wrong item—not our fault. Washed dishes, managed trash, tidied. We pretty quickly disabled the pre-mist function on our newly installed Toto C200 washlet; it seems unnecessary, and Patrick didn't like it. I was skeptical that the deodorizer fan actually removed any odors, but it really does work. The price paid for this no-smell convenience is a little bit of fan noise for the duration of your stay plus two minutes.
