Ran in place to World's Tallest Tower: Burj Khalifa - Dubai's Vertical City | Free Documentary on YouTube. I mostly enjoyed this video. The couple depicted in it are appalling in some ways, but the comments are also appalling, particularly those calling for the woman's murder or suggesting that that might be a good thing. What has happened to our humanity, YouTube? Medium bowl of oatmeal with milk, cinnamon, sliced banana; water. Installed and configured Backblaze on our entertainment server. Encountered error "Backblaze could not create a read-writable '.bzvol' directory" and submitted a support request after being unable to resolve it via their knowledgebase. Grilled cheese sandwich with super greens. Patrick made madeleines today using John Kanell's recipe. I received a response from Backblaze that resolved the problem: add read and write permissions to system and everyone. Patrick and I ate madeleines, and they are delicious. Unloaded photos from my phone. Dinner at home with Patrick: takeout from Lost and Found via Uber Eats: kale caesar, birria de res tacos, garlic fries, five-spice chicken sliders. We attempted to add a White Claw Black Cherry, but Uber Eats wouldn't let us check out (something about you need to order food with alcohol) so we left it out of the cart and I bought the alcohol in person during pickup. The salad was fresh and nicely presented with curly parmesan, fresh black pepper, and mixed-color cherry tomatoes. The tacos were not greasy at all and perfectly prepared except for the discovery of a large bone in one of them. The garlic fries were barely warm and possibly part of an old batch. The sliders were delicious with slightly too much slaw sauce. Not the best first experience with a restaurant, but I'm happy to be forgiving during a pandemic, and it's so nearby that I'm willing to give it a few more chances. Dessert: one madeleine each. Patrick washed dishes. We finished watching Transcendence on Netflix DVD. This film had potential but ultimately disappointed because while it revealed the beginnings of some interesting philosophical questions—what is sentience? what is real versus virtual?—it failed to fully develop and explore them. We cuddled in bed and I arose after a while. Late snack: finished the remainder of the caesar salad.
