Ran in place to English Grammar Boot Camp e8: A(n) Historical Issue on Kanopy. Breakfast at home: medium bowl of oatmeal with milk, cinnamon, diced peach; water. Worked from home. No sprint standup today. D8 work. Siteimprove policy work. Read CSS Layout News 273. Recently I learned that if you have just copied a url (e.g., with Cmd+C or Ctrl+C) then in both Asana and Slack you can select new/draft message text and then paste with Cmd+V or Ctrl+V and that applies the link to the selected words. If your copy buffer includes something other than a url, it replaces that text rather than sets the url on it. This is non-standard behavior, but I find it very smart. Now that I know about it, I am finding myself using it more and more, and I'm also testing what other applications are supporting this new behavior. So far I have found only these two. If you encounter others, please let me know. 1:1 with Eric. Small lunch: beef ravioli from a can, water. Met with Anne: content maintenance. Afternoon snack: cheddar squares, pretzel sticks, cashews, salf-free pistachios. Lots of task followup. In the early evening Patrick was interviewed over Zoom by Roxane Gay in partnership with Tom Lowenburg from Octavia Books. The interview went well, and Patrick is pleased to have finally met Roxane face to face. Dinner at home: delivery from Old Mandarin Islamic via Uber Eats: shrimp chow mein, green onion pancake, sesame chicken, three flavor dumplings, steamed rice. Water to drink. Zoom chat with Stacey and friends from UC Santa Cruz: Jen, Sheila, Wendy, Diana. Stacey invited my by email about a week ago and her message was so out of the blue and a bit vague that I felt compelled to confirm with her via Facebook Messenger that the message was legitimate. It was, and I enjoyed catching up and reminescing with them.
