Walked and rode Muni then BART to Oakland. Brunch at Bakesale Betty (510-985-1213, 5098 Telegraph Ave, Oakland): we each had a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. I had a La Croix lime. Patrick didn't have a drink. We also got a ginger-molasses cookie to go. $26.80. We ate at the only ironing board that was indoors. The sandwiches were good but too spicy for me. UberX to near the Oakland Museum to run an errand. Walked to and visited Oakland Museum for No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man (October 12, 2019 to February 23, 2020). We enjoyed the many exhibits. Everything was great, and it was hard to pick a favorite. We stopped at the museum's cafe for beverages and consumed the ginger-molasses cookie from Bakesale Betty. The cookie was perfect. Drinks at Peet's Coffee in the Cathedral Building (1615 Broadway, Oakland): mocha with whipped cream for Patrick, chai tea latte for me. We read from books or ebooks. We walked to and browsed in a bookstore called Wolfman. Dinner at Brown Sugar Kitchen (2295 Broadway, Oakland) with Patrick: two pieces of white-meat-only chicken, collard greens, corn bread, gumbo and rice, two cocktails. Dessert: chocolate pecan bar. They were missing one ingredient for the cocktails we ordered. We agreed that the drinks could be adapted to be similar. In exchange our server generously gave us a small discount on our bill. $69.81 before a $12 tip. Service by Jaclyn C was very good. Walked and rode BART then Muni home.
