Breakfast at home by myself: egg and cheese breakfast burrito, one pint of hot water. Telecommuted on a half day of work. We were notified in advance of today's 12:00 noon closure and the option to telecommute in the morning—nice! Siteimprove work for QBC and grad programs. Sprint standup. Outside, a little bit of light hail fell for a few minutes. Lunch: leftover pasta in ragu but there wasn't enough sauce so I sauteed some diced tomatoes with herbs to go with it, hot water to drink. Troubleshot a problem connecting to email.ucsf.edu. IT phone support could not figure it out, either. Patrick baked a chocolate cake from a recipe similar to what he recalled from his childhood. It's called chocolate depression cake because it was an inexpensive cake that was popular during the 1920s Depression. Washed dishes. Recharge Medical work: created a Men's Clinic flyer, other task followup. Archived product manuals. Washed dishes. Earthquakeproofed one of Patrick's paintings. Created an antiquated form of correspondence. Dinner at home with Patrick: chicken noodle soup with parker house rolls, hot water. Listened to Joel McHale's Live from Pyongyang on Spotify with Patrick during dinner. We both enjoyed the show. I was not familiar with him or his work at all; Patrick knew him from Community, his game show, and his talk show. Washed dishes. Late snack: large soft taco with pork and pickled red onion, hot water.
