Breakfast at home: toasted sesame bagel with swiss and roast beef, one pint of hot water, one green apple. Walked and rode Muni to UCSF Parnassus. Met Grant and Levi to photograph the new PharmD students counting Skittles and inserting them into pharmacy pill bottles, part of an exercise for them to examine their own behaviors in a medication adherance scenario. The shoot went well. Grant left to attend a talent show. Levi and I walked with his bike to lunch at Nopalito. We each got a plate of dos tacos pescado al pastor (rockfish), spicy sauce on the side, water. Levi's position was recently changed from temporary to permanent, so I treated. We talked about neuroscience, psychology, East coast vs. West coast, the Inner Sunset neighborhood, the randomness of encountering the same people at different points in your life, and more. $28.48 before a $6 tip. Afterwards we took a quick peek inside the new Tartine next door. He rode back to Laurel Heights. I walked to Parnassus and rode the shuttle back. Filed pcard paperwork. Prepped a diptych for a news story for Levi. Walked and rode Muni home. Dinner at home with Patrick: pizza with bbq pulled pork, red onion, and sweet corn; red wine for me; Hint water for both. Afterwards we continued playing The Witness on iOS on my iPad Pro.
