Sensorio and wine tasting in Paso Robles day 2 of 3. Breakfast in the VRBO. Wine tasting at L'Aventure, which Dave M had set up for us. We learned that at the nearby California Mid-state Fairgrounds Cardi B was playing tonight and Blake Shelton was playing tomorrow night. Tin City: Negranti Creamery for ice cream. Olive oil tasting at Olivas de Oro. Continued wine tasting at Levo. Lunch at The Canteen. We shared french fries, steak frites, black cod with ratatouille special, mushroom pizza, margherita pizza. Austin Hope. Krobar Distillery. Tooth and Nail Winery. Back to the VRBO. Nap. Quick dinner: leftovers. We visited Bruce Munro: Field of Light at Sensorio, an art installation by Bruce Munro in which many thousands of fiber optic lights filled a large, valley-like open space nestled among some trees. We arrived shortly after sunset, and there was still enough light to take photos of people and still see their faces. As the evening progressed we were immersed in darkness and the many pinpoints of light floating gently within globes atop plastic stems. It's an enchanting experience unlike anything I have seen before. I had forgotten my handwarmers, but it was not terribly cold this evening, and there was no chilly wind like some TripAdvisor reviews had mentioned. All the staff were exceptionally polite, and the event seemed to be very professionally run, considering that it appears to be a long-term temporary event. Jineanne Coderre performed and was great to hear. We walked to the end and back, enjoying the lights from different heights, angles, and vantage points. We had just eaten, so we didn't stop in the food and drink area. Back to the VRBO. We relaxed, some of us by the fireplace and some in the hot tub. I had a mint chocolate chip Klondike bar.
