Breakfast: leftover applesauce from The Cavalier, leftover pannetone and gingerbread, hot peach cobbler tea. Worked from home today. Performed a review of the School of Pharmacy list of websites. Lots of Asana task review and followup. Updated all Mailchimp templates to have 2019 in the copyright date. Lunch: steak and potato stew from a can, hot water. My MacBook Pro began crashing today. The third time I realized it was something out of the ordinary. Dinner at home with Patrick: tacos with fixins. Afterwards we watched Ellen DeGeneres: Relatable on Netflix instant watch. This was the funniest standup I have ever seen her perform. Spent an hour or two reattempting to confirm that surround sound was working as expected in our home theatre setup, eventually succeeding. Spent another hour trying and failing to find a way to automount network drives that I hadn't already tried, including slozo's Network-listener, autofs, and AutomountMaker, all of which did not work for me. I also resolved a problem with VLC. It would quit upon launch, and deleting the preferences fixed it. I don't recall why I hadn't tried that earlier. Home website maintenance. Recently I discovered rtings.com and find it to be a terrific alternative to The Wirecutter for the specific, fewer categories they cover. rtings.com even helped me realized features about my TCL 32S305 television that I didn't know about.
