Breakfast at home with Patrick: yogurt with fixins. Washed mold from entry doors with water and borax. Rode UberX downtown with Patrick. Lunch at La Boulangerie (222 Sutter Street): combo (chicken arugula mini sandwich and cup of white bean soup) for Patrick, tuna cheddar melt tartine with seasonal greens for me, butterscotch cold brew and water to share. $31.32 after a $1.33 counter service tip. Shopped at Britex for reupholstery fabric for our 2000 Restoration Hardware Picasso chair whose seat cushion has been coming undone from use over the past few years. Alexandra was terrific at helping us, as was all the other staffpersons we encountered. At the register we enjoyed seeing a dog napping in a nearby dog bed. Rode UberX to the Castro. Patrick stopped to run an errand. We continued on foot to Urban Eyes where I ordered multifocal contact lenses; the ones I was given to try have been working fine. Three pairs of monthly lenses costs $85, and I had $50 credit remaining on my VSP insurance plan. Rode UberX home with Patrick. Removed some of the stuffing from my adjustable pillow from Nest EasyBreather Side Sleeper in an attempt to resolve constant neck and shoulder ache that seems to have developed over the past few months. Vacuumed the small bedroom. The internet stopped working. I did some troubleshooting and restarted our router and that seemed to fix it, though I think there were overlapping problems. Rode UberX with Patrick to Noe Valley. Dinner at Lupa Trattoria: nebbiolo for Patrick, water for me. We shared scamorza ai funghi (melted smoked mozzarella with mix sauteed mushrooms) and an order of ravioli alla modenese (homemade ravioli filled with ricotta cheese and spinach with fried garlic chips in a brown butter and sage sauce). Dessert: three flavors of gelato: chocolate, salted caramel, pistachio. $60.22 before a $12 tip. Rode UberX to Church Street near 29th, visited Stephen G. Met Richard and Theydon. Theydon, a young puppy, is brand new to the household, handsome, and super chill. He and Patrick got along great. With me he was neutral most of the time but with some low growling and one loud bark near the end. We parted on good terms, though. Richard left partway through our visit to attend a dance party. We all talked about dance parties, vodka, wine, dogs, childhood pets, Twin Peaks, Doctor Who, YouTube, nightclubs, Atlantis cruises, Thailand villas, recent vacations, Broadway shows, reality television, books, libraries, and more. Patrick and I drank a chilled wine we had brought; Stephen drank from the in-house selection. We had a great time visiting. Rode UberX home. Recently Notational Velocity stopped updating yet I can still successfully log in to simplenote.com with the same credentials. I found a Github issue queue where someone else reported the same problem, so I added a comment to that report. Hopefully the problem will be resolved soon.
