Patrick prepared breakfast: pancakes and sausage, hot earl gray tea with milk. One pint of hot water for me. Spent most of the day determining a solution to a need for universal navigation across our multiple web domains. Lunch at Starbucks Laurel Village: turkey and basil panini, pumpkin spice chai latte grande. Rode Uber Pool to the Castro. Stopped at the optometrist to pick up new reading glasses (the second pair after the first pair did not fit properly—too tight at the temples). Dinner at Fable with Patrick: two glasses of barbera, one bottle of san pell. To start: mussels for Patrick, pork cheeks with kale and apple for me. Entrees: roast chicken for Patrick, t-bone steak for me. Dessert: we shared a ginger-pear crisp with Castro Fountain vanilla ice cream. We like everything except my steak was too salty at times (not so much to complain about, tho). It was prepared medium as ordered; most restaurants I find cannot get this right. Rode UberX home.
