Rode Muni to UCSF Parnassus. UCSF shuttle from Parnassus to Laurel Heights. Sprint standup. Followup with Acrobat Pro license end issues. UFD meeting with Susie, Paula, and Eric. Archived fraud paperwork. Lunch at Panera Bread City Center, which had good food but I nonetheless had a terrible experience. The restaurant is very difficult to find. Better signage could help, but nothing will change the poor foot navigation of City Center except for tearing it down completely. I went up two flights of stairs, down one flight, asked directions at Best Buy, down another flight, around a corner, and then I found it. Flies and very aggressive pigeons swarmed the outdoor patio looking out onto a parking lot and made only marginally more pleasant by added container greenery. The complexity of ordering via iPad and they forgot to add the field greens I had added but I was too tired to complain about it. Why did they give me half of a large baguette with a soup and a sandwich? Inside the restaurant the air conditioning was set to "freezing." Never again. The bread is delicious, though. I had a steak sandwich with white cheddar on ciabatta with a cup of chicken and wild rice soup. Iced tea. $13.89. I ate with one arm held high to bat away the many birds landing on my table—so bold! Chatted with Eric about an issue I reported: old Google Maps links shortened with Google URL Shortener fail, but only on mobile. Unpublished a person page for Katherine K, then documented the process. Followup with video permissions for Frances P. Began choosing Drupalcon sessions. Rode Lyft Line home: about $10 after a $2 tip. Dinner at home with Patrick: enchilada, tamale, and black refried bean leftovers; water. Watched trailers and a few clips on YouTube. Late snack: corn chips, prunes.
