Telecommute day so that I can be home for the Sonic gigabit fiber installation. Breakfast at home: two eggs scrambled with sliced green onions, two hash browns, one english muffin with coconut oil spread, 6 ounces of cranberry juice mixed with San Pellegrino. Spent most of the day cleaning up accounts on our legacy VPS. The fiber installation took about two hours. Installer Sa arrived at about 1:40 pm within the 12 to 4 window I was given. My fear going into the procedure was that the ONT and associated boxes were going to be installed on a wall inside my home and that I'd have to look at them all the time. Sa and I figured out a plan for the install and decided the best place for them would be inside the garage. We were able to use existing wiring which mean getting rid of coax and RJ11 ports. When he finished his work, he showed me the speed test from his Windows laptop: about 950 Mbps. He left, and I spent the next two hours rearranging our networking equipment. We still have to keep the Time Capsule for automatic backups. We still have to keep the T-Mobile Asus Personal Cellspot router because the new router from Sonic doesn't provide a guest wireless network. After many speedtest.net tests we tested watching World of Tomorrow (2015) on Netflix—seems to work but it was hard to tell if the quality was any better I guess due to the kind of animation. Dinner at home with Patrick using a recipe found on POPSUGAR Celebrity: Diane Sanfilippo's Italian-style stuffed peppers using yellow bell peppers. Played more of The Room 3 on my iPad Pro.
