Packed for Drupalcon. Cut my hair, cleaned the bathroom, showered. Lunch at Shandong Deluxe for the first time: wonton soup with hand-pulled noodles. Delicious, but the broth could be more flavorful and there could be more vegetables. Bought a few items at Walgreens. I'm leaving for Portland through Thursday for a web conference called Drupalcon. A bunch of others from UCSF are going as well. Eric and I have been to a few of these so far. It's exhausting to attend 8 to 9 hours of lecture for 4 or more days straight. It's very different from our routine. Taxi to SFO. No time for a bite to eat before the flight. I found out in the middle of the flight that they had nothing to eat on the plane. Landed in Portland. Dinner at Beaches in the airport: seafood chowder, half order of garlic bread, hot water: $6.99 before tip. In this restaurant I particularly enjoyed the mural by Jason Prouty at Garage 31. Taxi to Hotel Deluxe. Settled. To bed around midnight.
