I didn't mention it before, but today is day 4 of a little sore throat with cough. Yoga: standing warmup practice. Weight training: slow bicycles, one-leg bridge, leg lifts. Breakfast at home: organic oatmeal with raspberries; organic, unsweetened soy milk. Late for a meeting, drove to work, found street parking at Laurel Heights surprisingly easily. Web team meeting. C3 conference call in Michael's Laurel Heights office. Drove to Parnassus. Looked for street parking but couldn't find any. Parked in the UCSF parking garage. Snack from Palio: blackberry scone. In the elevator I noticed a woman carrying a copy of The Ethical Slut, so nice to see that others are reading it. WCWG lunch meeting: roast chicken sandwich, water from my klean kanteen. Linkchecking, Flickr work, kiosk work. Finalized orientation handout. Helped Joel with a question about PowerPoint and aspect ratios. Remotely watched portions of the IT Services meeting. Migrated content to the Communicators website. Posted updated schedules for Lucia. Web updates for Cindy: pathway declation calendar. Garage parking cost $24.50 for about 7 hours of parking. Drove to the Castro, found street parking surprisingly easily. Eye doctor appointment. Doc says I might need reading glasses soon but not yet. Patrick met me in the Castro. We ate dinner for the first time at Fork, which was in the space that Fuzio was. It's not full table service. Butternut squash ravioli for me, cajun pasta jambalaya with pappardelle for Patrick. We both tried the $4 drink special: rum and grapefruit juice. I didn't like the taste of the drink much, but it was strong for a $4 cocktail in the Castro. Afterwards we walked to Blackbird and met with Ray, Emery, and Bill C for drinks. A few hours later we joined them for dinner at Barracuda. Seafood ramen and crunch and munch roll for me and Patrick, ramen for Emery, ramen for Ray, tempura ramen for Bill.
