SFO to AMS via KLM: 10 hours. 3-hour layover. AMS to CPN via KLM: 1 hour. World of Delights Fine Food: one bottle of organic elderflower drink in a bottle: 21,95 DKK ($3.64). Spent about 30 minutes navigating in the airport then about 10 minutes trying to buy a metro ticket and failing—I didn't know my PIN for my credit card and the machine wouldn't accept my debit card even though I had just used it successfully with the debit card's PIN to buy the beverage. Spoke to a human and succeeded: 72.00 DKK (about $12) for a round-trip ticket. Metro to Frederiksberg station: about 15 minutes. The trains here run every 3 minutes. How do they do that? The sky is overcast and people are carrying umbrellas but it's not raining. Checked in to Radisson Blu Falconer. This hotel seems like it might have been a luxury hotel about 20 years ago and over the years hasn't been maintained at its original state of quality. My room is very small but serviceable. Called Chris and Nate who had arrived earlier today and were napping. We went to nearby Moroccad Cafe for appetizers and water. Bicycles are everywhere. Back to the hotel for more rest. Nap. Dinner with Nate, Chris, and Ravi at Sokkelund Cafe and Brasserie. Nate had a hot chevre salad, Chris had a caesar salad, Ravi had steak tartare, I had a salmon and shrimp salad. We shared a bottle of red wine and a small appetizer platter of nuts, cured meat, cheese, and olives. This was a pleasant experience with staff to match.
