Lately Patrick has been reading Mayumi's Kitchen: Macrobiotic Cooking for Body and Soul by Mayumi Nishimura and has been inspired to integrate macrobiotic recipes into our meals. Today our breakfast was slow-cooked amaranth with black sesame seed; miso soup with tofu, shiitake mushrooms, seaweed, and scallions; and blueberries. My sore throat had been resolving but over last night it got a little worse, and my nose is runnier than it was earlier this week, so today I stayed home and did little. Lunch at home with Patrick: seitan tacos, hot water. Nap. Dinner at home with Patrick: stir-fried vegetables with side salad.
