Breakfast at home: organic oatmeal with diced, organic fuji apple; cinnamon; organic brown rice syrup; organic, unsweetened soy milk. Rode my bike to work. Linkchecking, Flickr work, kiosk work. Don brought bagels to share with the office. OSACA staff meeting: I introduced the staff to the web redesign project. Comm team meeting with emergency snack: bagel and cream cheese. Today was Matt S's last day, so I said goodbye to him. He gave me a rainbow-colored wobbly toy. Lots of calendar management. Lunch to go from Palio: toasted half tuna sandwich, farfalle salad with vegetables, peanut butter cookie: $10. Chatted briefly with Cindy in place of a 1-on-1. Kiosk work. Supp app work in Drupal: ssh setup. Set up a third monitor on my desk—it works! Supp app work in Drupal: began reinstalling modules. Followup with email address problem for student BL. Rode my bike home. Dinner at home: sesame-glazed cod, mashed potatoes from a box, corn on the cob, hot water. Nap. Back to the 80s night at The Cafe. Met doorman Chadwick. I did and didn't have fun. The video mix by DJ Mark Andrus was great, again, but I am thinking now that it's not a live mix because I recall some songs being played last week and, I believe, in the same order. There's not much of a crowd at this 80s night, which makes it less fun because it's nice to see a lot of people enjoying it, but it's also nice because there's more space. There were no more than 5 people on the dance floor at any time. Here are some songs he played with which I was not terribly familiar: the twins - face to face, george clinton - atomic dog, indeep - last night a dj saved my life. Also, here's a track listing of part of the evening along with the times the song started playing:

  1. 23:21 limahl - neverending story
  2. 23:25 kylie - better the devil you know
  3. 23:28 madonna - like a virgin
  4. 23:31 prince - erotic city / when doves cry
  5. 23:39 AC/DC - you shook me all night long
  6. 23:42 depeche mode - i just can't get enough
  7. 23:45 run dmc - it's tricky
  8. 23:47 janet jackson - control

After a while, I left and passed by Qbar where it appears that Tuesday is lesbian night. I went to Badlands where it was a lot more crowded and they were playing a modern mix of mostly diva pop and some R&B. I stayed until they played Beyoncé's "Run the World Girls." If you ever want me to leave a building quickly all you have to do is play this song. The louder it is played, the faster I'll leave. At Badlands I saw a large sign advertising Flashback Wednesdays by DJ Master Blaster. I believe this is 80s and 90s music. Maybe I'll attend next week? I visited Toad Hall where people were singing karaoke, and I listened to one man's song for a bit. I wanted a slice of pizza and my preferred place Escape From New York Pizza was closed, so I ate at Nizario's: veggie slice for $3.50. Shanghai Noon played on the television in the eating area. Home.
