Breakfast with Eric and James H at Dickie Brennan's Palace Cafe: we each had the breakfast buffet. Walked to the convention center. Drupalcon: Keynote: Sara Wachter-Boettcher, sessions, lunch (chicken breast, mashed potatoes, beans, mixed vegetables, caesar salad, dinner roll with butter, carrot cake, water), sessions. Walked to the Marriott, met with John W, rested and freshened. We walked to Napoleon House for drinks and dinner with the group: John K, Eric, Brian W and Holly, Richie and Genaiyalynne, Rob T, James H. Afterwards the group walked Chartres Street to Frenchman Street and encountered a terrific band playing on the corner. The band was later identified by Brian W as Treme Brass Band. Had a drink and listened to Shotgun Jazz Band at The Spotted Cat, where we intended to meet Sierra and Naho but they were delayed. The group left Brian W who wanted to stay longer to see another set. More Treme Brass Band, then walked back to the hotel.
