Rode Muni to UCSF Parnassus. UCSF shuttle from Parnassus to Laurel Heights. Breakfast from The View Cafe: egg and cheddar on english muffin, small coffee in my Seattle Public Library mug. Sprint standup. Lots of calendar management and vacation notification. Updated the Incapsula info page in the SOP IT wiki. Followup with pcard fraud issues. Chatted with Lisa about livestreaming commencement, which resulted in me spending about an hour preparing a communication to Jim J, the stage electrician at Davies. It got sorted out; we will not try to livestream this year but maybe next year. Sent Lisa instructions on how to join Chatter. Published Substantial Evidence changes for Jamie. Listserv management for one of our student leadership groups. Eric and I walked through a hack to add a news listing thumbnail image for a news story without also having that image appear in the top right corner of the node page. In this hack you choose a regular crop cropped as you like in addition to choosing a square crop cropped to the smallest white area you can, then after finding the inserted image code, wrap it with a div with class clearfix. This provides a bit of extra whitespace at the top of the article, but basically no one is going to notice anything is amiss. Lunch from The View Cafe: sushi from the refrigerator. Met with Paula and Susie about UFD. Edited 8 pages of the 10-page UFD. Chatted with Eric about caching issues; Varnish seems to occasionally annoy me because I have to wait for it to clear a page before I can report to the task generator that my task is complete. Chatted briefly with David about the student awards dinner and commencement stories and photography. Helped Michelle remove photos from the camera memory card so that she can download them from my Box account. Rode Lyft Line to the Sunset district. Dinner at Sunset Reservoir Brewing Company (SRBC) with Patrick: we shared everything: beer flight, half caesar salad, chipotle bbq pizza, fried chicken with mashed potatoes and cole slaw. For dessert, chocolate stout two-layer cake with Bailey's cream cheese frosting. All food and drink was delicious, in particular the fried chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy were perfect. The pizza gets a little soggy in the center; I prefer it crisper. But it's still a very good pizza. Service by Patricia N was mostly very good. (At the end she disappeared upstairs for a long time while we were waiting to pick up our payment.) $63.11 before an $11 tip. Walked home.
