Troubleshot several computer problems on my MacBook Air. One problem was that SpiderOak kept spinning and never finishing. I tried a dirty reinstall which failed. I tried a clean reinstall which failed. I uninstalled SpiderOak and that fixed it. The other problem was that Office 2016 encountered an unknown error while attempting to download updates. I could tell it had something to do with DNS and found an answer on the web which fixed it: add 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 to your DNS configuration—weird. Rode Muni L to Proposition Chicken. Had fried chicken as a salad with a half and half: about $17. Food was tasty and seemed very high quality. Decor is stylish, clean. Rode Muni F to Pier 39. I encountered Jason S and chatted briefly with him before he alighted a few stops later. Pier 39 advertised a tulip display which I was hoping to shoot photos of. There were indeed many tulips. I was hoping for something akin to the Flower and Garden Show or the Bellagio Conservatory but expected the worst because I could find nothing on the web that indicated it was worthwhile. It is indeed a disappointing show as flower events go. I can't recall the last time I browsed at Pier 39 and saw the sea lions, so I did so and found it to be awful. I took some photos throughout but am not very excited about them. They are just like every other tourist's photos. Afterwards I shopped in Union Square, finding hardware at Cole Hardware to mount Patrick's mirror in my bedroom and purchasing more 3M Command Strip hooks at The Container Store. Rode Muni home. Rested. Dinner at home with Patrick: indian-spiced chard with tofu, white wine. Watched about half of The Never-Ending Story (1984) on Netflix DVD with Patrick. Finished playing The Room 3 on my iPad Pro—loved it.
