Breakfast at home: egg and cheddar on english muffin, 4 ounces of prune juice, 8 ounces of orange juice, water. House chores and home improvement. Cut my hair, showered. Snack: one green apple. Nap. Dinner at Sunset Reservoir Brewing Company (aka SRBC) with Patrick: one beer flight (we shared), soup of the day (corn chowder), two orders of fried chicken with cole slaw, side order of french fries. Dessert: cookies (almond) and milk for Patrick, salted caramel cake for me. Service by Vanessa was excellent. Lots of items were spicy. The soup had a chili oil added on top. The cole slaw was noticeably spicy. And I think the fried chicken had some spiciness as well. It got hard to tell what did and didn't have it because the spiciness lingered. The overall spiciness was near my borderline, but I tolerated it. The fried chicken used thigh meat, and I thought it was fine, but Patrick would have preferred breast meat. The meat was deliciously juicy and not dry at all, the crust crisp and crunchy; just perfect. We enjoyed our meal and shall return. Before this place existed, it was not possible for us to say we were visiting our neighborhood brewery. $90.16 after a generous tip.
