UCSF shuttle from Laurel Heights to Parnassus. Rode Muni home. Dinner at home with Patrick: delivery from Kingdom of Dumpling: shrimp and chive dumplings, pork and cabbage dumplings, baby bok choy with garlic, chicken chow mein, onion pancake, beer. Birdman: Or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014) on Netflix DVD with Patrick. I loved this film not simply because the long takes and magical camerawork were impressive but also because they were done with exceptional grace and beauty. I felt as though I were floating through the story as though levitating. The layers of complexity were mind-boggling in a happy, pleasant way (different than the mind-bogglingness offered by, say, Inception).
