Slept in. Accidentally didn't eat all day until early dinner: trumpet mushrooms and spinach with chinese five spice gravy over black sesame seeded steamed white rice, hot water. L train to the Castro. Waited for Patrick, stepping briefly in Toad Hall then Badlands then Lookout, encountered DJ Shawn P who was just starting his set playing mostly house. Patrick met me there for drinks. Patrick was surprised to have been served bourbon on the rocks in a plastic cup that resembled glass but you could easily feel the difference. Shortly thereafter Jenner joined us. We went to Beaux where we encountered Paul (a friend of Joseph) and Anibal. We rode UberX home at 1.5x surge pricing, but with Uber's 25% off summer fares promotion this still turned out to be cheaper than a cab. Sometime today I also troubleshot problems with our wifi. I thought that perhaps our Time Capsule was no longer functioning properly and might need to be replaced, but the issues resolved with some work.
