Woke around 5 but went back to sleep right away. Woke around 7. I can't remember what I had for breakfast today. If I were to guess, it would be organic oatmeal with diced nectarine; cinnamon; "mostly marin" wildflower honey; organic, unsweetened soy milk; 8 ounces of orange juice. Rode my bike to work. Posted fall draft schedules for Lucia. Linkchecking, Flickr work, kiosk work. Management activities. Supp app followup: need IB subjects from DDS but Daliah and James are both out. This must wait until next week. Asked Lucia to schedule a classroom for me. Calendar management. Eric and I met to train me on uploading assets to The Archive, our name for our implementation of the open-source digital asset library called Montala ResourceSpace. He had recently made changes to permit more filetypes. We did a few walkthroughs and he took more notes to make a few more changes. e.g., he prefers the Flash uploader (which works well) over the Java uploader (which doesn't work well). July 1 web edits for Susie. Timesheet work. Listserv management: residents. Rode my bike to the auto shop. Retrieved my car from maintenance: new clutch, door handle lubrication, fixed fan control lights that weren't working. Dinner at home with Patrick: leftovers. Nap. Shower. Reset the code on my car stereo. While driving to pick up Danny, I discovered that the car indeed has a new clutch but something with the car is not working properly. It works properly as long as the rpms are below 3000. But inconsistently around 3000 or 4000 rpms the car jolts forward and reduces in speed. I think I won't be able to get this fixed until next week since I think the mechanic doesn't work on the weekend. Underworld at Space 550. We arrived around 10:45 PM and after about an hour the place was packed. It was also much stinkier than usual (body odor). There seemed to be no ventilation at all. A large fan in one corner of the room wasn't even on. I enjoyed seeing people I knew. After a while I avoided the dance floor entirely due to the smell. I really enjoyed the glow bracelets that I had received. I wore blue and yellow briefs from Topman (UK). Among many others, I briefly met, encountered, and/or chatted with mike b, pookie, travis, eric n, glen, remy, timmyd, andrew (friend of lil paul) who gave me glo-bracelets, will k and chad. Afterwards Danny and I got food at My Canh, perhaps the only late-night Asian food in all of San Francisco. I had been wanting to try this place but it always seemed so out of the way in North Beach. The wait was severe, so we asked a couple if we could share their 4-top and they agreed, then later they left and we shared the table with another pair whom we met: My and Matt.
